Sticks for Kids
Ages 7 – 14 yrs.
Golf is an excellent forum to introduce youth to physical activity,
appreciate nature and provides an opportunity to learn a lifetime
sport. Golf also provides one of the unique opportunities to instill
lifelong values such as etiquette, patience and persistence. Join
us as you learn the rules of the game, golf etiquette, golf swing,
driving, chipping and putting. This program is designed to introduce
your young person to all aspects of golf. Bring your own clubs or
clubs will be provided. (6 weeks)

Golf Rules & Etiquette Workshop
Ages 14 & up
Warm up; replace your divot, where to enter the bunker, Rules of
Golf. This class will help you feel more comfortable with the game
of golf. Join us for a detailed program that will teach you the
rules and etiquette of the game, and introduce you to Western Acres.

Golf Rules & Etiquette Workshop for Youth

Moms Playing A-Round
Ages 18 & up
Moms, want to play golf but don’t know what to do with your
kids? With Moms Playing A-Round, you can drop your children off
at the Park District’s babysitting program while you go to
Western Acres for a round of golf. You can even play less than 9
holes for a pro-rated fee! Babysitting is FREE at Sunset Knoll Recreation
Center, but you must register by the Friday before you golf. No
exceptions. Babysitting will be offered until noon.

Night Golf Outing
All ages
The fee includes nine holes of golf, a glow in the dark golf ball,
a package of tees, a glow necklace, and a pizza and salad dinner.
This event will have a shotgun start and a four-some scramble format.
Course contests will be made available. Registration required.

Couples Nine & Dine
Ages 18 & up
Golf and dinner on a Friday evening in July is a great way to end
your work week and begin the weekend together! The fee includes
nine holes of golf, a gas car, and dinner for two. A flyer with
menu choices will be available in the Western Acres Clubhouse beginning
in May. Course contests will be included. Alternate shot format
will be used for this event. Registration required. (No discounts
apply)

100 Holes of Golf Event
Ages 18 & up
Play 100 holes of golf in one day while supporting children and
adults with disabilities! Proceeds from this event directly benefit
Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association (NEDSRA) to purchase
accessible vehicles that will provide door-to-door transportation
to leisure activities for participants. To register and for more

Mother’s Day 5/11/08
Mother’s play 9-holes FREE if there are 3 paying players
in her foresome and at least one is her son or daughter. Bring
your mother out for a great day of golf!
Memorial Day 5/26/08
Active Duty Military (must show current military I.D.) play 9-holes
FREE if there are 3 paying players in their foresome
Father’s Day 6/15/08
Father’s play 9-holes FREE if there are 3 paying players
in his foresome and at least one is his son or daughter. Bring
your father out for a great day of golf!
Fourth of July 7/4/08
Everyone who is wearing red/white/blue (all three colors) will
be eligible for a FREE hot dog special along with the special
rates!
Labor Day 9/1/08
Kids can play for FREE when playing with a paying adult.
IT's MY BIRTHDAY!!
During the week of your birthday you can play at Western Acres
for free when you bring 3 other paying golfers. Expires November
30, 2008. If your birthday is in the off-season, come the week
of your half-birthday.
